Using PC Property Manager with managed properties.

Many users of PC Property Manager are “Owner Managers” but a large number have property managers.

PC Property Manager is a valuable tool for those users – to track receipts and manage the bookkeeping.

A rent receipt from a property manager might include the following components:

  • Rent
  • Commission or fees deducted
  • Repairs deducted

To process this we need the following ledger accounts:

These ledger accounts allow us to set up the following transactions each month:

The repairs component will be handled as negative income and kept separate from the usual repairs ledger account.

You may need an additional ledger account if the property manager undertakes “capital” repairs on your behalf.
